We have been told that the debt follows the building - EAA has $0 debt.

No (they would have to make their own attempt to leave ASD)

As it once was, would it be possible for EAA to go back to its own school district?

It would take an act of Congress.

What school district can EAA join in secession efforts?

Any school district contiguous to Armstrong School District.

Is it possible to turn around the vote to close Elderton High School?

Yes, but not until after the start of the 2009-2010 school year.

Yes

$12,989 (based on 2006-2007 figures provided by ASD)

How much do our taxes generate?

Based on 2006-2007 figures provided by ASD, we generate $4,128,073 in real estate taxes.  This includes $458,857 from Plumcreek Power Plant, $20,757 from South Bend Power Plant.  We generate $384,132 in earned income tax, $503,516 in deliquent tax, and $11,409 in other income.  State and Federal revenues total $6,568,301.

 

Have we, HERO, invited political figures to our meetings?

HERO meetings are open to anyone.

HERO is a political action committee, which according to our attorney, we have gained this authority through forming this committee.

When EAA seceeds to another school district can the other district eventually close Elderton/Kittanning schools?

This will be legally negotiated with the joining district.
